The Will of Nicholas Barber (1460 - 1504)

Nicholas was the son of James Barber (1434 - 1489) and his wife, Joan. His Will was written on secretary handscript, on one sheet of paper. It was witnessed but not signed.

Property referred to in the Will: house and lands in Wyttingham (Whittingham); Ponys Close, with meadow, in Mendham - left to his wife, and after her dath left to sons James and William. James to have the choice as to whether he took the Wyttingham or the Mendham property; William to have whichever James did not take.
